Dear Friends and Patients,

I am writing to share some bittersweet but exciting news—after 38 wonderful years of serving this community as your dentist, I have decided to begin my transition into retirement. It has been an incredible journey, and I am truly grateful for the trust you have placed in me and my team to care for your dental health.

I am pleased to share that Dr. Mustafa Alwan will be formally taking over the practice. After meeting with several candidates over the past year, I was especially impressed by Dr. Alwan’s kindness, compassion, and commitment to clinical excellence. His advanced education and training in modern dentistry, combined with his patient-centered approach, gave me complete confidence that you will continue to receive the highest quality care.

Dr. Alwan received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Dentistry. He and his wife are excited to move to the Hendersonville area to start their family and become part of the community. Outside of the office, Dr. Alwan loves to travel, exercise, and spend meaningful time with his loved ones.

As I prepare for this new chapter, I want to assure you that your continued care remains my top priority. All upcoming appointments are still valid and will take place as scheduled—no action is needed on your part. Additionally, all dental records are securely maintained and will remain readily available under Dr. Alwan’s care.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healthcare journey. Though I’ll be gradually reducing my time at the practice, I will remain involved during the transition. You may still see me from time to time—both professionally and as a patient myself!
